: I had a 1275 clutch put into my 1216 Climax with the MGA transmisson a couple of years ago. I talked with my mechanic (Bob Hawkins fax 780-437-2582) here in Edmonton Alberta Canada and from what he recalled he did not have to do anything to it. He did say there is approximately 1/4" difference in the depths of the release bearing between the 1098 and 1275.

: As I never saw what was done I am just going on his comments. You could fax him directly if you wanted more information.

: : Has anyone changed the 1098 A series coil spring clutch for the 1275 A series diaphragm clutch? It is both lighter and stronger. The flywheel needs redrilling but what happens to the release mechanism as the depth of the clutches are different?
: : If anyone knows please tell me.
