I am researching a racing group of four competitors from the 1950's
called The Shoe String Stable". One member was Ken Obee who ran a
Turner, Registration 818 HMG (or very close) and thought to be fitted
with a proprietary GRP body and not the normal Turner style.
I wonder if you have ever heard of this car?
My
Buckler Mk.5 was also part of the "Shoe String Stable", as was a
special run by Len Terry, later to design the Lotus 17 and 38 and cars
for Dan Gurney's "All American Racers".
