These three cars raced as the "Shoe String Stable" in the mid 1950's.  This photo is from 1956.  The venue is unknown.

Left to right is: Ken Obee in his Turner 818 HMG, Len Terry in his JVT Special YHX 344, and Peter Hampton in his Buckler Mk.5 876 AMY, now owned by Malcom (Nov 2002).

Ken entered as the "Obee Turner" in the Brighton Speed Trials 1959/60/61 with a 1172cc Engine.  The car was based on a Turner 803 chassis with a Microplas Stilleto Body, which was a quickly detachable.  Chassis 30/031 was last known to exist in Sussex , England in 1985, and at that time fitted with a Triumph 998cc Engine and had at some stage been re-registered with 982 PMT.
